This yacht shows as a brand new yacht- top to bottom! Inspected by Blake Davis. Hard to believe she's been out of her slip, much less done the Great Circle. Excellent opportunity here. Popular long legged Pilothouse which is quite capable of crossing the Atlantic Ocean on her bottom. What makes this one unique is the fact that she was ordered and built to do the "Great Circle".  She's a veteran and is ready to go again- OR take her anywhere on her bottom! Please contact Blake Davis about this vessel and please note the pages I have on my main page about the Great Circle route. You will find them of value.

You need to get on a waiting list to have a new one built and of course it's going to cost much more money. Why wait? Buy this one and go.

Nordhavns have been setting records since the very first N46 was launched in 1989.  Indeed, more Nordhavns have made successful ocean passages and global circumnavigations than all other production powerboats combined.  In 2002, a Nordhavn 40 completed a 26,000-mile circumnavigation in less than 26 weeks without a single breakdown or mishap.

The new Nordhavn 47 has continued this record-setting heritage even before hull number one was launched.  Twenty-two orders were received sight unseen, making her the most successful new product launch in P.A.E.’s history.  Now that these first N47’s are out cruising, trawler lovers are flocking to them in record numbers.

Inspired by the success of the N40’s celebrated Around The World Voyage and the beneficiary of lessons learned from hundreds of thousands of sea miles traveled by P.A.E. crew members, the N47 reflects our latest thinking in hull form, construction details and interior space planning.  Cruising efficiently at 8 to 9 knots, she has a range of over 3,000 nautical miles.  At full load, this rugged ship displaces 85,000 lbs. and will carry enough stores, water and fuel for weeks of self-sufficient cruising.

At first glance, the N47 is a very large 47-foot boat, and with her high bow and broad beam, she dwarfs 60-footers berthed next to her.  This proud bow, reminiscent of West Coast fishing trawlers, will punch through heavy head seas with a reserve buoyancy that builds confidence in even inexperienced captains.  Her stout construction, heavy-duty hardware, commercial grade machinery and ship-like design all work in perfect harmony to create an extraordinary vessel that can take her owners anywhere in safety and comfort.

Even if you are not planning a trip around the world, the Nordhavn 47 may be the perfect choice for you and your family.  Its offshore capability and pedigree heritage will give you a level of self-assurance you will appreciate when weather and sea conditions deteriorate.  You will also take great comfort in knowing that your Nordhavn is the authentic, real thing – not some copy-cat that is marketed as “almost as good as a Nordhavn.”  When you find yourself in 30 knots of wind and 6 to 8 foot seas, “almost as good” is never good enough.
