This is one interesting BIG (photos don't show you the scale-those aren't jet-ski's on foredeck but big tenders that just look like they are little!) yacht which was the 2nd largest yacht ever built by the reknown & respected Knight & Carver Yard in California so legally charterable if one desiress. I think she would make a great "fishing lodge" expedition type boat with all her staterooms and AMPLE room. Built like a battleship it seems.

27' Beam certainly gives interior volumne!!! 3 decks- 4 levels. She has features that are now common on large motoryachts but which was quite innovative when built. Her masters stateroom is on the 3rd deck behind the pilthouse helm and is huge. The owner not only has a huge stateroom, a HUGE head w/large walk-in shower, she has on his private deck a large hot-tub. Engine room access is from the aft-deck and is HUGE. Crew quarters are forward with berths for 3 with their own head and galley.
You really need to see this yacht in person to get a grasp on her size. ALL the heads (and there are many have huge walk-in tiled showers) all the staterooms are like those in a home instead of a boat. Her decor appears to be original. Her engines have 8,000 hours and are still in good condition. The 5 staterooms with en-suite head. Day head PLUS crew quarters forward with head.
The yacht is fully equipped. She's hauled 2/08 for Insurance survey, which is where I took these photos on 2/4/08. The surveyor said the hull was excellent. The paint on her exterior very upper decks is flaking off which appears to be from improper prepping. Her teak in the cockpit is thin. Her decor is original and would more than likely be updated by her next owner.
Her owner also owns a much larger yacht "down island" and has said "sell my yacht". I recommend bringing ANY reasonable offer. Please view all the photos.
A LOT of yacht for little money!!! I would think she would make an excellent "expedition" yacht or lend herself to charters. Not offered for sale to US residents while in US waters. Huge davit, room on the foredeck for two large tenders. She's QUITE presentable as she sits, but I think could be whipped into quite a nice yacht for not that much money.
