Many custom features on this 99 4788. This is the owners 2nd 4788 (previous was a 98 model) and prior to that he was a long time owner of a 1989 Bayliner 4588. He clearly knew where the shortcomings (tight engine rooms and many area's of "dead space")of the boat were and rectified it and he also made excellent use of "dead-space" through-out for custom storage. You gotta love the engine room access from the salon just like the New Meridian 490's! All clearly shown on the photo slide show. New interior carpeting in 2006 to accomodate the new hatches in the salon.  Stairs have drawers, where the outdated electronics were-is now drawer storage, plus more.

Since the owner only uses her for harbor rides around Boston with his family, and over to his house out on the Cape-he has installed railings around the aft of the flybridge and installed a hatch over the companionway ladder so nobody will fall into the hole, or off the boat. Custom seat on foredeck is actually comfortable, therefore usable.

370hp Cummins -original engine has 1,000 hours. Starboard engine was replaced with re-built one in 2004 and has 300 hours.

12.5kw gen has 1000 hours.

Doors to "3rd" Stateroom removed like ALL 4788 owners do who actually use their boats because with the factory doors- one cannot open the drawers or closet IN the stateroom unless you go inside and shut ALL doors, then you can't bend over to get things. He moved the entrance door to master forward so now the master stateroom is much large visually AND most importantly easier to use.

Both heads use freshwater (no odors) for flushing and are electric.
