You should be aware that NOT THAT MANY 580's were ever built before 2007 ,and few made it to the East Coast, so if your waiting for other older 580's to come on the market at lower prices, you might be literally looking "forever".
Please see the extensive amount of photos of the vessel. These are ALL actual photos of the vessel that were taken by me, the Pilothouseking.
I've inspected her over the last two years. I have to give her owner credit for constantly improving her.
He installed complete new Bimini top w/new Eisenglass, re-did all of her flybridge upholstery. It all looks sharp. There is some corrosion on her pilothouse door, but none on the window frames because unlike the Bayliners, because there are NO window frames. The boat has good electronics, (some recent) good ground tackle and is properly equipped to be single handed =has the hand held remote control for engine & thruster controls so you can dock the boat standing anywhere on the boat.
IF your shopping "PRICE"- you can buy late model Carver 570's (selling $300k -$400k all day long for years now) and Navigator FOR WAY less money than a 580, but NEITHER of those marques are going to give you the sea-keeping ability of a Meridian 580. If you doubt me then you really need to speak to Captains who deliver yachts of all makes all along both coasts of the United States, and I remind you that there is NO intracoastal on the Pacific Coast.
I've had several cash offers on this vessel, the advertised price is pretty much THE price. Please send email to "pilothouseking at aol.com"
